Adele Dejak - Jewellery Designer

So, I have been working with this eclectic jewellery designer, Adele - who only wears black by the way (and lots of her own accessories) - on a couple of fashion shoots for her newest collection. The first shoot was this very random shoot with American based photographer, Dean Zulich. Dean gives me a call one December morning and says he's in Nairobi for a few days and would love to a fashion shoot with wild animals for his book. I jump on the opportunity, of course, because I am always looking to expand my model's portfolios (for free) - wasn't too sure about the wild animals part though. After talking for some time, I think he starts realising that no - we don't exactly have lions and cheetahs and elephants and zebra's roaming around the streets of Nairobi, you have to go to the animal orphanage to get them at 'close range' - so we settled for caves and Maasais. I bring Adele on board for the shoot, and we go to the lovely waterfalls at Paradise Lost on Kiambu Road with four amazing models and Sam (Saima) to do hair and make-up.

Emily, a Kinkey model, totally stole the show looking absolutely flawless and stunning:

Amrit, a forensic dentist and part-time model, was looking fab as usual with all her 'out-of-the-box' poses that keep amazing me:

Tiny Cecelia, also a Kinkey Model, was in full throttle at this shoot:

And the most amazing of them all... Adele's beader - Patricia, she has never modelled before, and she looked amazingly stunning!

The shot was absolutely amazing, and Adele decided to take it in-doors and do a more controlled shoot product shoot in the studio for her website - www.adeledejak.com - and other promotional materials. I got hold of Abraham Ali, a super-energetic darling photographer, and we used Emily for this shoot - with Sam doing the make-up again, of-course. and the pictures were FANTASTIC!!!!
